Vivekananda Educational Trust (VET) is a registered, non-profit, service-oriented organization dedicated to the cause of man-making education, as envisioned by Swami Vivekananda. The Trust strives to foster holistic development in children and youth—nurturing not just academic excellence, but character, leadership, and national spirit.
Vivekananda Educational Trust is affiliated to Vidya Bharathi which is the largest voluntary Non - Government Organisation in the field of education. It involves in promoting the integrated development of the child and creation of awareness of our great culture in our pupils and a spirit of devotion to our motherland.

1991 - Vivekananda Educational Trust (VET) was registered as an offshoot of Vivekananda Educational Society, focusing on rural education, establishing four schools at Thiruninravur, Minjur, Manali and Mudichur.

2015 - SRF Vidyalaya, Manali joined the Vivekananda Educational Trust (VET) as a unit, recognizing our strong reputation for delivering quality education.

2016 - The establishment of Sri S.C. Agarwal R.T.95 Vivekananda Vidyashram at Zamin Endathur, near Madhuranthagam, marked another significant step in expanding our educational outreach.

2017 - A Skill Development Centre was launched at Thiruperumangalam, with a dedicated focus on women empowerment in the surrounding rural areas—enabling self-reliance and livelihood opportunities.

2023 - The long-cherished dream of VET came to life with the inauguration of VETRI – Training and Research Institute. This flagship initiative was launched with great fervor to spearhead advanced training, educational research, and teacher development.

2025 - Expansion of Educational Management - Recognizing its strong reputation for delivering quality education and holistic development, Vivekananda Educational Trust (VET) was entrusted with the management of an esteemed institution G.R. Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Salem.

Vivekananda Educational Trust
Founded in 1991, Vivekananda Educational Trust (VET) is a sister organization of the Vivekananda Educational Society (VES), which began its journey in 1972.
VET shares a deep ideological and cultural bond with the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari — institutions dedicated to spreading Swami Vivekananda’s vision of national regeneration through character building and selfless service.
Inspired by this legacy, VET continues its mission of empowering the youth through value-based, holistic education.
