KRUU
Developing Future-Ready Competencies Through Project-Based Learning
-
What is KRUU?
KRUU is a Project-Based Learning initiative that enables students to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges through inquiry, research, critical thinking, problem-solving and reflection.
-
Why KRUU?
Academic knowledge alone is not sufficient to prepare students for the future. KRUU provides meaningful learning experiences that help students think independently, collaborate, analyse evidence and develop practical solutions.
-
KRUU Learning Model
Every KRUU project follows a four-milestone model, guiding students through sequential stages of learning, implementation and validation by mentors.
-
Why Do We Need KRUU at VET?
KRUU provides students with opportunities to move beyond textbook learning and develop the competencies required to face real-world challenges. It strengthens VET’s commitment to holistic, value-based and experiential education by nurturing independent thinking, creativity, collaboration and effective communication.
- Purpose: Connect academic knowledge with practical application.
- Learning Framework: A structured four-milestone model with mentor validation at each stage.
- Core Competencies: Critical thinking, research, problem-solving, collaboration and communication.
- Learning Approach: Encourages inquiry, evidence-based solutions, reflection and continuous improvement.
- Educational Alignment: Supports competency-based learning in line with NEP 2020 and the educational principles of IB and Cambridge.
- Expected Outcomes: Develop confident, responsible, independent and future-ready learners.
